John Brokking, Certified General Accountant is a sole proprietor committed to providing excellence in accounting and tax expertise to individuals, small business and the self employed. John graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Commerce and Economics from the University of Toronto in 1978 and earned his designation as a Certified General Accountant in 1991. During 2012 he qualified as a fully licensed public accountant in Ontario (LPA) by passing the CGA of Ontario qualifying exam, after the changes to the  Public Accounting Act, 2004.

Since becoming a member of CGA Canada and CGA Ontario in 1992, John has constantly upgraded his technical knowledge to keep pace with the association’s Professional Development Program. Periodic examination by the Peer Review Program ensures clients of a level of professional expertise that can meet the specific needs of your organization or personal situation.

John’s position as a staff accountant for a Chartered Accounting firm in Pickering guarantees his experience remains current for his own clients that have come to rely on his independent practice as a CGA. This position also provides immediate access to additional expertise when the need arises to deal with specialized issues enabling him to meet the specific requirements of you and / or your company.
